New appointment for lovers of vintage and design of the 50s and 60s: here comes Corner Mix, a composition of products from our catalog of modern art.
The era will be strictly the twentieth century, on the origin instead we are more tolerant: there will be space for unique pieces of design (or craftsmanship), both Italian and international.
In the first corner we made, the Highboard designed by Gianfranco Frattini and built by Bernini at the turn of the 60s and 70s undoubtedly stands out.
A piece of furniture that embodies the elegance and luxury typical of Bernini productions, made of rosewood and walnut veneer, with elegant shutters that conceal drawers and storage compartments.
The feet are worked with gullwings, typical workmanship of the Milanese designer as well as the design of his handles of the drawers.
As a seat we chose an armchair of Italian manufacture from the 50s and 60s, very very comfortable to the eye.
Upholstered with two-tone blue and gray-white fabric with a light optical weave, we like it both for the enveloping shape and for the brass legs that slender the figure.
The shape is probably inspired by the famous “Martingale” by Marco Zanuso, both in the concept of wrapping and in the reinterpretation of the size of the armchair itself, which becomes a cross between the bedroom armchairs and the large living room armchairs.
The light point instead consists of a pair of pendant lamps.
Also in this case it is typical furnishings of the twentieth century produced in the 60s, the materials used are opal glass accompanied by the combination of lacquered metal / brass, which refers to the “Stilnovo”, an innovative company in the field of designer lighting.
For the trio of furnishings we have chosen a palette of soft colors on shades of blue and pink, the choice of oriental graphics instead, in addition to enlivening the environment, enhances even more the clean lines of the sideboard.
What do you think? We will update next week with a new board.
Awana!
